Fcc Car Launcher is a car launcher app that offers cool new features for your Rockchip (MTCB/MTCD+/PX3/PX5/PX6 and later), MTK 8227 (YT9216-YT9218 and later) FlyAudio, or AllWinner Android head unit. What sets it apart is its deep integration and FM radio support for these specific units, but it can also be launched on any other Android tablet or phone. The app is fully customizable, built around a widget concept that allows users to change colors, placement, size, and combination of any information on the screen.

New Features in Fcc Car Launcher v.3.0

The newly-released Fcc Car Launcher v.3.0 comes packed with even more features, including skins support and the ability to draw custom skins. The app also now features an interactive MiniMap with traffic data, icon pack support, a customizable screensaver screen, and new widgets. The player widget even supports the most popular players, while an OBD2 widget offers more advanced car diagnostics. Other new additions include auto-brightness based on sunrise/sunset time, wheel button interception, and more.

Among the free features are support for app shortcuts, widgets, and multiple home screens, the ability to launch Google Voice with the steering wheel and use the Speedometer in the notification bar. Users can also change the speedometer's color depending on speed and launch FM radio in the background. The app even calculates distance and average speed per day and shows it in the notification.

Premium Features

The paid premium version offers all free features plus autoplay last player after sleep, advanced customization of Fcc Car Launcher, the ability to make phone calls via connected phone and decrease volume during voice input, and sound notifications when reaching certain speed limits. The app also features the ability to assign text names to FM stations in the player widget, make phone calls via connected phone by saying "Ok, Google, call [name]," and double click action assigned to speech button for app launch or MODE function (cycle through 3 apps).

AccessibilityService API

Fcc Car Launcher uses the AccessibilityService API to allow users to assign "Back" and "Home" actions to the steering wheel buttons if applicable to the device. This enables drivers to navigate the head unit safely without unnecessary distraction from the road.
